WESTON, Mass. – Regis College freshman forward Brittany Stone (West Bridgewater, Mass.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week in Women's Basketball it was announced on Monday morning.

Stone averaged 18.0 points on 62.5% shooting, 14.0 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game in a pair of league wins this past week for the Pride. Stone scored 14 points and grabbed a career-high 22 rebounds (10 offensive) to go with two steals and a block as Regis picked up a 91-39 win over Lesley on Wednesday. She wrapped up the week with 22 points on 9-of-11 shots, and grabbed six rebounds and two more blocks as the Pride went on the road for an 84-68 win over Southern Vermont. Stone has now scored double-digits in seven-straight games, and has at least one block in nine-straight contests. This is Stone's fifth consecutive NECC Rookie of the Week award.

The Pride return to action on Thursday, January 29th when Regis welcomes NECC rival Mitchell College to campus for a 8 p.m. showdown.
