WOMEN'S BASKETBALL VOLUNTEERS AT MLK DAY OF SERVICE

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Regis College women's basketball team recently honored the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by volunteering at the 4th Annual Cambridge MLK Day of Service this past Monday.

The team lended their hands and worked with members of the community on service projects that will benefit the lives of thousands of people in need in Cambridge and Somerville. They had the opporunity to make fleece scarves and blankets for homeless children, teens, and adults.

Members of the team also made Valentine's Day cards for elders and veterans, activity kits for children waiting in hospital emergency rooms, as well as donated canned goods.

Regis women's basketball had a great experience and found it to be an honor to join the community on Martin Luther King's Day to lend their hands for service.
