MARRO, HAWKESWORTH SWEEP WEEKLY AWARDS

WESTON, Mass. – Junior guard Emilee Marro (Bedford, N.H.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference's Player of the Week, it was announced Monday. Her teammate Amanda Hawkesworth (Abington, Mass.) was also named the NECC Rookie of the Week after duo helped lead the Pride to their second-straight NECC Championship this past weekend.

Emilee Marro was named the NECC Tournament MVP on Saturday afternoon after guiding the Pride to its second consecutive NCAA Tournament bid. Marro scored 21 points, including her 1,000th career point, and added six rebounds and three assists in a 74-50 win in the Semifinals over Becker. She followed that up with 16 points, six rebounds, four assists, and four steals in a 71-43 win over Elms in the Championship game. For the week, Marro averaged 18.5 points, six rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.5 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game.

Amanda Hawkesworth averaged 8.0 points, 11.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.0 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game during the NECC Playoffs. Hawkesworth had seven points, 10 rebounds, and two assists in the Pride's win over Becker in the Semifinals, and she followed that up with nine points, 12 rebounds, three assists, four steals, and two blocks in the Championship game win over Elms.

Regis College awaits word on who they will play in the NCAA Tournament starting later this week.
