REGIS EARNS NUMBER ONE SEED IN NECC TOURNAMENT

WESTON, Mass. - For the third straight year, the Regis College women's basketball team has earned the No. 1 seed and right to host the New England Collegiate Conference Tournament. The Pride recently wrapped up their third consecutive perfect regular season in the NECC after going 18-0 in league play, 21-4 overall.

Regis will host both NECC Semifinal games on Friday, Feb. 28, and the NECC Championship game the following day, regardless of who advances. The Pride, who have a First Round Bye, will play the winner of No. 5 Daniel Webster and No. 4 Becker at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles and Hawks face off in a First Round game on Tuesday. 

The other Semifinal matchup, which will tip-off at 8:00 p.m., will feature the two teams that advance from the other First Round games on Tuesday; No. 7 Wheelock will play at No. 2 Elms, and No. 3 Mitchell will host No. 6 Bay Path. 

The two winners of the Semifinals will meet in the NECC Championship at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The finalists will be vying for the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
