Kenny Watkins joins the Regis College softball coaching staff for the first time in 2015.

Watkins is a 2012 graduate of UMass Amherst and began his coaching career after college as an assistant baseball coach with Medford High School. He is currently working full time as a Police Cadet with the Malden Police Department while actively pursuing ACE personal training certification.

Watkins began playing competitive men's softball in 2008, playing in B-Modified, fast pitch, and slow pitch tournaments both regionally and nationally. He continues with tournament play along with local modified and slow pitch softball leagues.

He attended Malden Catholic High School from 2004-2008 and played baseball, football and ran indoor track. He was the captain of both baseball and track, leading the baseball team to the Catholic Conference Championship, as well as the Division 1 North Championship, before losing in the Eastern Mass. Finals, finishing fourth in the state with an 18-5 record.
