CUOZZO KEEPS DEALING, EARNS THIRD STRAIGHT WEEKLY HONOR

WESTON, Mass. – For the third straight week and the fourth time this season, Regis College senior pitcher Katie Cuozzo (Lynn, Mass.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Pitcher of the Week in Softball; it was announced on Monday afternoon.

Cuozzo was a huge part of Regis' 5-1 record against conference opponents this week. The senior right handler compiled a 4-0 record and a 0.75 ERA in 18.2 innings pitched. Cuozzo completed two games while striking out 20 batters, allowing only seven hits and issuing two walks.

She lowered her league leading ERA to 1.27 and pitched her finest game of the season versus Southern Vermont on April 14th. Cuozzo struck out a season high nine batters and allowed only one hit in the complete game victory.

At the plate she was 6-for-10 (.600) with a double, five RBI, and four runs scored.

The Pride just defeated Wheelock 6-1 in game one of their NECC doubleheader. First pitch for game two is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
