WESTON, MA – The Regis College softball team dropped a double-header match-up Saturday afternoon to Lesley University. The Lynx took game one by the score 4-1 and continued to excel in the second game securing a 16-0 victory.
In the first game the Pride was led by Caitlyn White (Littleton, Mass.) who batted in the Pride's only run of the game. White connected on a ball that pushed Katie Blackburn (Milford, Mass.) home to give Regis its first tally of the contest.
Knox (Sea Cliff, N.Y.), meanwhile, struck out three in her five-inning shutout, giving up only two hits and a pair of walks in her fifth win of the year.
Brixey drove in Fountain with a RBI single to go ahead 7-0 in the second, and Lesley scored six runs on a single hit and four Regis errors in the third, going up 13-0 and going on to win 16-0.
Both teams return to NECC play tomorrow, with Lesley traveling to Elms and Regis going to Newbury.
