As a Freshman: Porteus played in 34 games this season.  She had 87 at bats, 15 runs, 25 hits, 1 double, 5 RBIs, 3 stolen bases, and an on base percentage of .354.  She  had 14 put outs, 34 assists, and a fielding percentage of .873.  She pitched a total of 114 innings, and 14 complete games.  She averaged 2.89 strikeouts per game.

Personal: Sarah is a freshman education major from South Wellfleet, Massachusetts. She is the daughter of Jon and Nancy Porteus and has two brothers Ben and Andrew.  Her life goal is to become a Speech Pathology teacher.
