PRIDE RELEASE 2010 SOFTBALL SCHEDULE

Weston, Mass.—The Regis College athletics department released its 2010 softball schedule Saturday. Under first-year head coach Lisa LeVierge, Regis College softball will play an 18-game season with 13 conference contests.

Nine of Regis’ games will be held at its new state-of-the-art softball complex. Regis plans to return three of its The Commonwealth Coast Conference All-TCCC team members; including TCCC Rookie of the Year, Caitlin Luquet (Walnut Creek, Cailf.).

Luquet led Regis in batting average (.407), slugging percentage (.620), runs scored (21), hits (44), and runs batted in (24). Luquet also tied in homeruns, with two of her homeruns being inside the park in the same game.

The Pride will open its season March 20 at Daniel Webster. Regis will face four conference opponents before it takes on TCCC conference champion Endicott College April 10.

Endicott finished its 2009 campaign 38-9, and was seeded fourth in the NCAA Regional Tournament before losing to Springfield College.

Regis will look to improve upon its record from 2009, and with a solid field of talent returning to the team, 2010 could possibly be an impressive year.
