BENJAMIN NAMED ALL-TCCC HONORABLE MENTION

Weston, Mass.—On April 28 The Commonwealth Coast Conference released the names of its All-TCCC team members, and Regis’ Hope Benjamin (Rochester, Mass.) was one of the 13 names on the list.

Benjamin, a junior, has been recognized by the conference in back-to-back seasons. She was also named to the honorable mention team during the 2009 season also.

In the 2010 season Benjamin led the Pride in slugging percentage (.525), runs scored (23), doubles (9), total bases (64), runs batted in (28), and homeruns (6). She was second on the team in batting average (.303), and on base percentage (.372).

As the starting first baseman, Benjamin had 333 putouts, a .980 fielding percentage, and fielded five double plays for Regis.

Within the conference Benjamin held the top spot in chances (352), and putouts.

Regis College finished 9-32 overall, and 6-18 TCCC. This was Benjamin’s first year playing under first-year head coach Lisa LeVierge.
