Allen was 1-for-5 on the day at the plate, and pitched five innings in game two to earn the win.

Neither team had an upper hand on either side of the ball until Nichols’ Ashley Robidoux (Milford, Mass.) singled to begin a seven-run sixth inning for the Bison. Batting in the seventh, eighth, and ninth spots respectively, Robidoux, Valeri Calcagni (Rocky Hill, Conn.) and Kylie Langton (Medford, Mass.) would each hit singles, advancing the batter before them.

The trio would all score off hits by the top of the order. Samantha Hardigan (Brockton, Mass.) and Savannah Thibault (Marlborough, Mass.) would hit singles, giving each a run batted in for the game.

Bison teammates Lauren Correia (Seekonk, Mass.) and Loren Rozanski (Plainville, Conn.) would reach base on errors by Regis’ Shannon Hurley (Billerica, Mass.). The three that started the rally closed out the inning flying out to Regis’ Amanda Carlson (Ayer, Mass.) and pitcher Kendra Abram (Acushnet, Mass.).

Nichols’ Hardigan would hit a triple swinging on the first pitch. With a runner in scoring position Correia would bat in Hardigan, giving the Bison its eighth score.

Regis’ Hope Benjamin (Rochester, Mass.) had two great hits, advancing teammate Caitlin Luquet (Walnut Creek, Calif.), who scored Allen on single to centerfield.

Luquet and Benjamin went 2-for-3 at the plate with Luquet earning an RBI.
