Men’s Cross Country Voted To Finish Second

ATTLEBORO, Mass. - The Regis (Mass.) men's cross country team was picked to finish second in the NECC Preseason Poll, as voted on by the eight league coaches. The Pride (55) was five behind Southern Vermont (60) who were picked to successfully defend its title.

Regis hopes to continue its success with senior Matt Norton and sophomores Shane Romanchick, and now under first-year head coach Kourtney Bonsey. Romanchick had a strong showing in the 2015 NECC Championship landing eighth overall with Norton coming in 11th.

Rounding out the preseason poll was Elms (45), Wheelock (38), Lesley (36), Mitchell (24), Newbury (22) and Daniel Webster (8).

The Pride start the season on Saturday, Sept. 3 at the Roger Williams Invitational in Bristol, R.I. The meet is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.
