WESTON, Mass. – Regis College freshman Matt Mona (Barkhamsted, Conn.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week in men's cross country, it was announced on Monday morning.

Mona shattered the previous Regis school record for the 8k by over a minute, posting up a final time of 27:24 during the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday, September 20th.

The Pride return to action on Saturday, September 27th when Regis travels to Chicopee, Mass. to take part in the Blazer Invitational hosted by Elms College with start time slated for 10:00 a.m.
