Joseph Perez Named Co-Offensive Player of the Week

WINTHROP, Mass. - Stellar play and a record-setting performance allowed Joseph Perez (Miami, Fla.) to be named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men's Volleyball Co-Offensive Player of the Week, announced Monday, April 3, by the league office.

On Tuesday at Dean, Perez collected 13 kills, seven digs, and four total blocks in the victory, plus he hit .565 while managing to make zero attack errors in 23 attempts.

On Wednesday against Lasell, the junior collected 12 kills and four digs while making just one reception error in 21 chances.

On Saturday against Emerson, Perez broke the Regis single-match record for kills with 27, while hitting .321 in the match. He also earned three service aces, five digs, and had four total blocks.

Perez now leads the GNAC in total kills with 256 as well as kills per set with 3.46.

Perez shares the honor of GNAC Men's Volleyball Co-Offensive Player of the Week with Theo Zaharewicz who led Lasell to a 4-0 week of GNAC play.

Regis College (10-15, 5-8 GNAC) ends the regular season with a stretch of three road games, starting with a matchup against Emmanuel on Tuesday, April 4, beginning at 7 p.m.
