WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College men's volleyball team begins postseason play this week at the New England Collegiate Conference Tournament on Apr. 8 & 9 hosted by Endicott College. The Pride enter the field as the No. 2 seed and will open the four-team tournament with Daniel Webster. The tournament winner earns an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.

Regis enters the tournament 12-11 overall with a final conference record of 8-2, one game ahead of third-seeded Daniel Webster (15-12, 7-3 NECC) in the final league standings. Top-seeded Endicott (15-10, 9-1 NECC) will play Elms (12-14, 4-6 NECC) at 4:00 p.m. to open the evening's semifinal doubleheader with the Regis/DWC match set for 6:00 p.m. or 40 minutes following the first semifinal's conclusion.

The Pride and Eagles split their two games this season with the home team winning both matches. Regis was swept at Daniel Webster to open the NECC season but returned the favor with a four-set victory just over a week ago at Higgins Court.

The matchup will be a clash of strengths as Regis enters averaging a league-best 2.08 blocks per set. On the other side of the net, Daniel Webster boasts the league's top hitting percentage at .262. DWC does, however, feature setter Nate Makaiwi who leads the conference averaging 2.38 digs per set.

Brett Krahl (Santa Clarita, Calif.) leads the way for the Pride, ranking second in the NECC in blocks per set (0.94) and fourth in hitting percentage (.334). Marcos Aguirre (Norwalk, Calif.) boasts a team-high 2.85 kills per set and Sean Bisnett (Oxnard, Calif.) leads the Pride with 1.85 digs per set.
