ATTLEBORO, Mass. – The New England Collegiate Conference handed out its men's volleyball all-conference honors on Monday with Regis College's Brett Krahl (Santa Clarita, Calif.) named Player of the Year and Sean Bisnett (Oxnard, Calif.) Defensive Player of the Year. It was the program's first such honors since its inception in 2007.

Krahl was a two-time NECC Player of the Week and an ECAC Division III North Region Player of the Week. The sophomore middle blocker was a beast in conference play and a force at the net as he ranked third in the NECC in total blocks (28) and third in overall blocks per set (0.94). Krahl also ranked fourth in hitting percentage (.437) and 12th in kills (70). In six of his 10 conference contests Krahl recorded 3+ total blocks including seven in Regis' first eve program victory over Endicott on March 7th.

Bisnett played in nine conference matches for the Crimson and Gold and was a one-time NECC Player of the week. The junior outside hitter ranked sixth in the conference in kills with 87 and ranked 10th in hitting percentage (.313). He was a force on the defensive side of the ball as he ranked seventh in digs (58) and ninth in digs per set (1.93). Bisnett also was active at the nets as he ranked ninth in total blocks (18). In four of the nine conference contests, Bisnett recorded double-digit kills.

Junior setter Joe Hanrahan (Coventry, R.I.) earned a spot on the all-sportsmanship team. Daniel Webster's Saunoa Afo and Peter Kazlas were named Rookie and Coach of the Year, respectively.

The Pride went 12-12 this season, one that ended with a loss to Daniel Webster in the NECC Tournament semifinals. The team posted an 8-2 NECC record to earn the tournament's No. 2 seed, its best overall league record and regular season finish in program history.
