BISNETT, BEIMEL SWEEP NECC VOLLEYBALL WEEKLY AWARDS

WESTON, Mass. – Regis College junior Sean Bisnett (Oxnard, Calif.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Men's Volleyball Player of the Week with teammate Drew Beimel (Redondo Beach, Calif.) garnering Rookie of the Week honors, announced Monday by the conference office.

Bisnett came to play in a crucial conference contest versus Daniel Webster on Tuesday evening. The junior outside hitter amassed a game-high 16 kills, a .441 hitting percentage, eight digs and three total blocks during Regis' 3-1 victory.

Beimel played in one match for the Crimson and Gold. During Regis' 3-1 victory over Daniel Webster, Beimel had eight kills, six digs, three total blocks and dished out three helpers.

The Pride are in the midst of preparations for the NECC Championship Tournament hosted by Endicott College which begins Friday, Apr. 8. Regis, the No. 2 seed, will play third-seeded Daniel Webster in the second game of the semifinal doubleheader beginning at 6:00 p.m.
