PRIDE DROP PAIR IN UTICA

UTICA, N.Y. – The Regis College men's volleyball team suffered two losses on Saturday afternoon, falling to Wells College 3-2 (25-21, 21-25, 26-28, 26-24, 14-16) and dropped a 3-1 (28-26, 17-25, 26-28, 15-25) decision to SUNY Poly. The setbacks drop the Crimson and Gold to 0-4 on the campaign.

Sean Bisnett (Oxnard, Calif.) set a career-high with 23 kills, this was the fourth time in his three year collegiate career that he passed the 20 kill plateau. The junior captain also added a team best nine digs in the first game loss. Zach Sindoni (Haverhill, Mass.) added 12 kills and seven digs while teammate Joe Hanrahan (Coventry, R.I.) chipped in 38 assists.

Against SUNY Poly, Bisnett, Sindoni and Brett Krahl (Santa Clarita, Calif.) led the Pride offensive attack with nine kills apiece. Sindoni also led the squad with seven defensive digs. Junior middle blocker Brandon Tordoff (Coventry, R.I.) led the team in blocks while Hanrahan again led the squad in helpers with 32.

Regis looks to earn their first victory of the season next Saturday when they travel to Wentworth for a tri-match with the host Leopards at 11:00 a.m. and then against New Jersey City at 1:00 p.m.
