REGIS SNAGS #3 SEED IN NECC TOURNEY

WESTON, MASS. – The Regis College men's volleyball team earned the #3 seed in the New England Collegiate Conference men's volleyball tournament; it was announced on Tuesday evening. The Pride will travel to Endicott College to square off against #2 seed Southern Vermont in the NECC Semifinals on Friday, April 10th at 6:00 p.m.

The Crimson and Gold posted their second highest win total and most conference victories in program history finishing the year with an 11-15, 7-5 NECC mark. The Pride are led by freshman middle blocker Brett Krahl (Santa Clartia, Calif.) who finished his rookie campaign leading the Pride and ranking 12th in the conference in kills (155) and ranking second in the league in total blocks (92).

Regis dropped the season series against Southern Vermont falling 3-1 on February 14th in a game that was played in Weston and was swept 3-0 by the Mountaineers a few weeks later when the Pride traveled up to Bennington on February 28th. Southern Vermont finished the year with a 15-9, 10-2 NECC record.

Endicott snagged the top-seed in the tournament after going undefeated in conference play. The host Gulls will take on Newbury who finished the year 9-13, 6-6 NECC in the first game slated for 4:00 p.m.
