REGIS SPLITS AT KEUKA TOURNAMENT

KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – The Regis College Men's Volleyball team continued competition in the Keuka Invitational Tournament on Sunday morning by defeating Sage University 3-0 before falling to the host Wolfpack 3-0 in their final match of the weekend. The Pride split during the tournament going 2-2 over the two day competition.

The Crimson and Gold (2-4) picked up their second victory of the young campaign when they swept the Gators 3-0 with set scores of 25-17, 25-20 and 25-10. Brett Krahl (Santa Clarita, Calif) led the Pride offense with a match-high 10 kills, while Sean Bisnett (Oxnard, Calif.) chipped in with seven kills, led the squad with two service aces and Josiah Roque (Oxnard, Calif.) added five kills.

Roque also chipped in defensively with 12 digs, while Bisnett added 11 digs of his own. Brett Krahl also came up huge on the defensive side as well as he blocked six total blocks. Joe Hanrahan (Coventry, R.I.) handed out a match-high 25 assists during the Pride victory.

Versus Keuka, the Wolfpack swept the Pride in three consecutive sets with scores of 25-22, 25-19 and 25-23. Krahl again carried the Crimson and Gold offensive load with a team-high nine kills, he also made six blocks and four digs during the match. Marcos Aguirre (Norwalk, Calif.) posted six kills, three blocks and two digs. Ryan Husher (Camarillo, Calif.) added five kills while also leading the squad with six defensive digs. Hanrahan also led the Pride with 24 assists.

Regis returns home to Weston for four straight home matches the first is this Tuesday, February 10th when the Pride open conference play against Endicott with game-time slated for 7:00 p.m.
