MEN’S VOLLEYBALL 2013 SCHEDULE RELEASED

WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College men's volleyball team has released its 2013 schedule and hopes to improve upon a 1-18 season from a year ago. The Pride begins their second season as part of the NECC and hopes to makes some noise in the conference tournament.

Regis starts the year with a non-conference match against Albertus Magnus (19-10) on February 7th and will host the Falcons later in the year on March 20th. The Pride follows that up with a tri-match on the campus of Johnson & Wales University in Providence, R.I., taking on both the Wildcats (17-17) and Daniel Webster College (14-8) in a non-league game. Regis will host DWC two more times during the year as a part of NECC play, on February 27th and March 27th.

The Pride begin conference play on February 12th with a matchup against the NECC runner-up Endicott College Gulls (17-15) and stays at home on Saturday February 16th to host a tri-match between Mount Ida (1-23) and NECC foe Southern Vermont College (12-19).

Regis takes on Lesley (2-16) in NECC play on February 20th and follows that up with a non-league match against Lasell (10-15) the following night on the 21st.

March begins with a road contest at NECC Champion Elms College (20-8) before the Pride hit the road for Spring Break, travelling to New York for matches against Sarah Lawrence (3-14) and Lehman College (14-13) on March 8th and 9th. Out of the break, Regis plays its next four matches at home, hosting Lesley, Albertus Magnus, Newbury (8-17) and Elms during the week of March 18th through the 25th.

The Pride hit the road for all of April, travelling to Newbury and Endicott for conference matches before participating in the MIT Scramble on April 5th and 6th. The Pride wraps up its regular season with a tri-match at Southern Vermont, where Regis will take on Keuka as well. The Crimson and Gold end the season playing on five-straight days.

The NECC Tournament begins on April 12th at the top-seed in the tournament, with the Championship match to be held on April 13th.
