ENDICOTT BESTS PRIDE, 3-0

BEVERLY, Mass. – Regis College fell to Endicott College, 3-0, on Wednesday night in New England Collegiate Conference men's volleyball action. Endicott (6-5, 4-0 NECC) used 24 service aces and a .306 team hitting percentage to take the 3-0 win over the Pride, 25-10, 25-10, 25-14. Regis remains winless on the season at 0-7 overall and 0-6 in NECC matches.

For the Pride, sophomore outside hitter Drew Wilder (Brockton, Mass.) contributed on both offense and defense with three kills and seven digs. Senior captain Andrew Carroll (Natick, Mass.) also had three kills in the loss with four digs.

Freshman David Amicangioli (Belmont, Mass.) came on in the third set to handle setting duties for the Pride and reached a team-high six assists.

Sophomore Lance Pepper (Torrington, Conn.) and freshman Thomas Stoeckinger (Malibu, Calif.) combined for 11 of Endicott's 24 aces while contributing on the attack as well. Stoeckinger tied teammate Kevin Duggan (Glastonbury, Conn.) for a match-high five kills and joined sophomore Josh Anderson (La Canada, Calif.) with two block assists in the match.

Pepper was one of six Gulls players to record at least three kills against the Pride. Stoeckinger and Duggan led the way with five, Anderson struck four while senior Jeremy Siden (Natick, Mass.) and junior Matt Devendorf (Glastonbury, Conn.) each contributed with three kills each.

Regis will compete in a Sunday tri-match against Sarah Lawrence and Albertus Magnus on Sunday, February 26th in New Haven, Connecticut. Endicott will next host NECC rival Elms on Saturday, February 25th at 5:00 pm in MacDonald Gymnasium.
