MUSTANGS TROT PAST REGIS COLLEGE

Weston, Mass.—Regis College (1-10) lost to the Mt. Ida Mustangs (4-5), 3-0 (30-14, 30-19, 30-12) Friday night in men’s volleyball action. Regis College, in its first year as a varsity sport, defeated Albertus Magnus 3-2 Feb. 9.

Regis College had a tough night without its big middle-hitter Zatrick Pinkney, who was a key player in the win over Albertus Magnus. The Pride played tough through the first match, but the Mustangs rallied its points off of Regis miscues.

With just one player over 6-foot 4-inches, the Pride were unable to stop Mt. Ida’s 6’6” middle-hitter that easily struck kills to the floor.

Regis College will hope to redeem its night in two matches Saturday when the Pride face Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Daniel Webster at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m respectively.
