Men's Tennis Too Much For Moravian in 9-0 Win

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Regis (Mass.) men's tennis team improved to a perfect 4-0 on its 2017 spring break trip, topping Moravian College 9-0 Wednesday at the Lake Cane Tennis Courts. Moravian falls to 1-6 with the loss.

The Pride cruised through doubles play to set the stage for a dominant win. Jarid Polley (Reading, Mass.) and Kyle Dugat (Houston, Texas) won 8-0 for the most dominant doubles result with a No. 3 doubles win over Moravian's Austin Grace (Orefield, Pa.) and Carlos Ramirez (Bethlehem, Pa.). The pairs of Chris Harrow (Reading, Mass.) and Gabriel Montealegre (Managua, Nicaragua), and Luke Horton (Bass Harbor, Maine) and Nolan Bebarta (Danville, Calif.) won on the No. 1 and No. 2 courts, respectively to help the Pride to a 3-0 lead.

The Pride had little trouble in singles play, winning all six matches in straight sets. Cam Charbonneau (Guilford, Conn.) and Jeremy Morgenbesser (Bayport, N.Y.) posted the most convincing victories with 6-1, 6-0 results on the five and six courts, respectively.

The Pride take the court one more time on the trip, facing Monmouth College Friday, 8:00 a.m. at the USTA Tennis Center. The Hounds next play at Ursinus on Saturday, Mar. 18.
