BELUCH, HARROW SWEEP NECC AWARDS

WESTON, Mass. – Regis College senior Michael Beluch (Lynn, Mass.) has been named this week's New England Collegiate Conference men's tennis Player of the Week, while teammate Chris Harrow (North Reading, Mass.) has been named the Rookie of the Week, it was announced Monday morning.

Beluch helped lead the Pride to a 3-0 mark in NECC matches this week. Beluch was a perfect 3-0 at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles with teammate Chris Harrow. The senior dropped only one point in singles play, winning 6-0, 6-1 against Becker while posting matching 6-0, 6-0 wins against Mitchell and Lesley. Beluch and Harrow allowed only one point in their doubles matches, winning 8-1 against Becker and winning 8-0 against both Mitchell and Lesley. This is the third time in four weeks that Beluch has received Player of the Week honors.

Harrow went a perfect 3-0 at No. 2 singles, and teaming with Michael Beluch for a 3-0 mark at No. 1 doubles. Harrow won against Becker, 6-0, 6-1, and followed that up with a 6-0, 6-3 win against Mitchell, and wrapped up the week with a 6-0, 6-0 win against Lesley. He and Beluch allowed only one point in doubles play all week, winning 8-1 against Becker, and adding matching 8-0 wins against Mitchell and Lesley. Harrow has been the only NECC student-athlete to be selected Men's Tennis Rookie of the Week in 2015.

The Pride continues their slate of games with their final regular season match of the season against Becker on April 22nd at 12:00 p.m.
