PRIDE BLANK FALCONS, 1-0

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Regis College scored a first half goal and locked down on defense in the second half to hold on for a 1-0 win over Fitchburg State in non-conference men's soccer action at Elliot Field on Wednesday. With the win, Regis improves to 2-6-1 overall, 0-1-0 in the NECC.

The Pride scored the lone goal of the match in the 34th minute as senior Angel Aguilar (Silver Springs, Md.) connected for his first goal of the season using an assist from sophomore Renato Rosas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.).

Shots were limited throughout the match with Fitchburg State holding a slim 14-10 advantage. The Falcons also took advantage of their targets, posting an 7-4 margin in shots on goal, but the Pride's 7-4 advantage in corner kicks proved to be a difference maker.

Calderon totaled seven saves throughout the contest, while freshman Rondinelle DePaula (Leominster, Mass.) and Aidan Hanratty (E.
