#4 REGIS HOSTS #5 DANIEL WEBSTER ON WEDNESDAY

WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College men's soccer team has been named the No. 4 seed in the upcoming NECC postseason, it was announced by the NECC offices. The Pride (7-10) will host Daniel Webster College (5-10) on Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 p.m.

Lesley earned the top seed in the upcoming New England Collegiate Conference Men's Soccer Championship. The Lynx (11-4-2 overall, 7-0 NECC) earned a first round bye along with second seed Mitchell (7-7 overall, 5-2 NECC).

Elms (8-7-2, 4-2-1 NECC) earned the third seed and will host sixth-seeded Southern Vermont (3-13, 2-5 NECC) in a first round game on Wednesday, October 31st. The winner will advance to play a semifinal contest at Mitchell on Friday, November 2nd.

The top six teams qualify for the NECC Championship. Predetermined tiebreaking procedures were used to seed teams with identical conference winning percentages.

First round games will be played on Wednesday, October 31 at the higher seed. Winners will advance to the semifinals held at the higher seed on Friday, November 2. Semifinal winners will meet Sunday, November 4 at the highest remaining seed.

Game times and dates are subject to change.

The Pride dropped a 2-1 decision to the Eagles back on October 10th. Regis took an early 1-0 lead on a Ricardo Arguetta (Los Angeles, Calif.) tally, but DWC scored a pair of second half goals, including the game-winner in the 75th minute, to beat the Pride.
