MEN’S SOCCER ANNOUNCES TRI-CAPTAINS FOR 2012 SEASON

WESTON, Mass. – Head men's soccer coach Renato Capobianco is pleased to announced his captains for the 2012 soccer season in Jeffrie Parrish (Framingham, Mass.), Sean Crawford (Framingham, Mass.), and Nick Tavares (Bellingham, Mass.). The trio will try and help the Pride grab their first New England Collegiate Conference postseason bid this season.

Coach Capobianco is excited about the three captains saying, "I feel that each one of them has different leadership qualities that together will provide a very strong leadership base."

Senior Sean Crawford enters his fourth season with the Pride and has two career assists for Regis. Crawford has played in 48 of a possible 55 games during his career and will look to solidify the Pride's defense in 2012.

The junior duo of Parrish and Tavares begin their third season with the Pride in 2012. Parrish has only missed three games in his career and continues to be one of the team's top defenders. Tavares has appeared in 34 career games, registering four career goals, good for fourth on the All-Time scorers list in both goals and points (8).

Regis begins its 2012 campaign on Friday, August 31, with a 5:00 p.m. home game against Albertus Magnus.
