KEEFE ANNOUNCES FALL 2009 CLASS

Weston, Mass.-Men's soccer head coach, Jon Keefe, continues to build his second year program announcing his incoming class of five. Keefe coached Andrew LaMacchia (Lynn, Mass.), The Commonwealth Coast Conferences leader in saves in 2008 with 272.

The core group for the Pride will return in 2009, and with the addition of these talented athletes joining the mix the season should meet expectations, if not exceed them from 2008.

Sean Crawford, Freshman, (Framingham, Mass./Framingham)

Crawford, a two-sport athlete in high school, should bring strength and footwork to the program. While at Regis, Crawford intends on majoring in law, and hopefully working for the government.

John Goncalves, Freshman, (Framingham, Mass./Framingham)

An ambitious athlete, Goncalves intends on making an experience as a professional athlete one day. Goncalves was teammates with Crawford at Framingham. Goncalves should mesh well with returnee Shawn McDonough (Framingham, Mass.).

Mouhamed Diallo, Freshman, (Boston, Mass./Cours Sainte Marie de Hann)

Diallo, an athletic and speedy player in high school, having played both soccer and basketball should bring even more athleticism to the program in 2009. Diallo will battle early for time on the pitch, and has potential within the Keefe playing system.

Juan De Leon, Freshman, (Lynn, Mass./Lynn Classical)

De Leon was a two-sport athlete in track and field and soccer at Lynn Classical. He was also an Agganis Soccer Classic All-Star, and NEC All-Star.

Gifted with accolades, De Leon will join a cast of other talented athletes. His quickness, and the talented interior that exist should help the Pride put points on the board this year.

Semi Spahillari, Freshman, (Watertown, Mass./Watertown)

Spahillari, a four-year starter for the varsity team in high school, will add immediate experience to the program, complementing a seasoned team from 2008.
