Weston, Mass.-Peter Koskores (North Andover, Mass.) scored the only goal of the match, leading New England College (4-4-1, 7-6-1) to a 1-0 victory over Regis College (4-10, 2-7 TCCC).
The Regis defense held New England from scoring until the 40th minute when Koskores would score off an assist from teammate Corey Barbo (Yarmouthport, Mass.).
The Pilgrims mustered 21 shots against the Pride. Kagan Sinclair (Marblehead, Mass.) led New England with seven shots, three on goal. Koskores followed with four shots, two being on goal.
Regis attempted five total shots, with four different players taking shots on goal. Credit Regis keeper Andrew LaMacchia (Lynn, Mass.) with 11 saves for the Pride.
New England controlled much of the game in the first period. The Pilgrims took 12 of its 21 shots in the first period. Once the Regis defense settled itself, the Pride began to keep New England at bay.
Regis College hopes to regain its composure heading into its homecoming match against Anna Maria College Oct. 17. New England will host conference opponent Nichols College on Oct. 17 also.
