MILLINGTON TO BE COMBO PLAYER FOR MEN'S SOCCER

Weston, Mass.—Regis College men’s soccer head coach Jonathan Keefe recently announced Chris Millington (Huntington, NY/St. Anthony’s High) would be joining the Pride soccer team in the fall.

“Chris is a rare player,” said Keefe. In separate seasons Millington led the league in goals and assists. “He is a strong athlete that has a touch of a goal scorer,” said Keefe of his incoming freshman.

Millington will also contribute to the athletic department’s involvement in the community, having taught religious education to sixth grade students of St. Hugh of Lincoln. As well, he has volunteered his time the last three Thanksgiving seasons helping at the St. Hugh of Lincoln soup kitchen.

Keefe is entering his third year at the helm for the men’s soccer team, and coached his team to four victories during the 2009 season. Regis captured its first win at the Southern Vermont Mountaineer Invitational Tournament, defeating Rivier College 2-1.

It would follow that with at 1-0 victory over Newbury College, and later win two conference matches defeating Colby-Sawyer College 2-1 in overtime, and Gordon College by the same score.
