2021-22 Senior Spotlight - Men’s Lacrosse

WESTON, Mass. – Prior to the final home match of the 2022 season against Emmanuel College April 20, the seniors on the men's lacrosse team were recognized for their contributions to the program.

Arpan Kakadia (Pembroke, N.H.) was a four-year member of the Pride, playing in 28 total matches. He scored five career goals and added one assist. He tallied a career-high two goals and one assist in a 15-0 victory over Eastern Nazarene College March 7. A three-time selection to the GNAC All-Academic Team, Kakadia received the Regis Athletics Male Senior Scholar-Athlete Award as well as several honors across campus and NEILA All-Academic recognition. Kakadia graduated from Regis with his bachelor's degree in biology and plans to attend PA school at Northeastern University.

Aidan Martin (Cutchogue, N.Y.) was a four-year member of the team, starting in 24 of 27 total matches. Martin scooped up 58 groundballs in his career, leading the Pride with 39 groundballs this past season. He caused 26 turnovers by the opposing team, including 20 during the 2022 season, fifth on the Regis single-season caused turnovers list. He recorded a career-best five caused turnovers against Anna Maria April 13, second-most in a match in program history, plus he collected eight groundballs in the same contest. Martin graduated with his bachelor's degree in sport management.

Nick Penta (Cotuit, Mass.) started in net for the Pride in 25 of 28 matches during his four-year career at Regis. He had a career save percentage of 49.6 percent, fifth-best in program history. In his career, Penta finished with 339 saves, third on the Regis career saves list. He finished third on the Pride single-season save list with 203 saves in 2022, including three matches with 20 or more saves. Penta became the third player in program history to be selected for the NEILA All-Star Game. Penta majored in business at Regis.

Jack Wizboski (Townsend, Mass.) joined the men's lacrosse team in 2020 after competing for two seasons on the Regis College volleyball team. As a midfielder for the Pride, Wizboski played in 12 matches, picking up four caused turnovers and seven groundballs. Wizboski was also instrumental in the Pride's man-down defense. Wizboski graduated from Regis College with his bachelor's degree in business. 

Assistant coach Cameron Glover graduated this spring with his master's degree in social work. Since he arrived on campus in the fall of 2019, Coach Glover was an invaluable part of the lacrosse program. As a coach of the offense, he helped lead the team to tremendous improvement on the field. His work in recruiting student-athletes has been a critical part in the growth of the program. Coach Glover's relentless commitment helped improve the experience of all the athletes he coached.

Men's lacrosse is one of 20 intercollegiate sports sponsored by Regis College within NCAA Division III as part of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference.
