Bazail, Brault, Rancano Announced as 2018 Men's Lacrosse Captains

WESTON, Mass. - Head coach Randy Fraser announced on Monday afternoon that seniors Josh Bazail (Miami, Fla.), Calvin Brault (Colchester, Vt.), and Danny Rancano (Miami, Fla.) will captain the Regis (Mass.) men's lacrosse team in the upcoming 2018 season.

Bazail has appeared in 24 games in his first three season in a Pride uniform. The exercise science major was named to the New England Collegiate Conference All-Tournament Team as a freshman, scooping up 23 groundballs and causing 12 turnovers during his rookie campaign.

Brault became just the fourth player in Regis program history to record 100 career points in last season's NECC Championship game. Brault's 103 points, which included 24 goals and 16 assists for 40 points last season, is most among active Pride players. Brault was a one-time winner of NECC Player of the Week last season.

Ranking second among active players in points is Rancano, who was the Pride's leading scorer a season ago, tallying 25 goals and 22 assists for 47 points. The global business management major has 93 career points, just seven away from the milestone.

The trio will look to lead the Pride to success in the 2018 season, which gets under way on Satruday, February 24 when the team hosts Dean College at Regis Stadium. Faceoff for the season opener is set for 2:00 p.m.
