WINTHROP, Mass. - Regis (Mass.) men's lacrosse freshman Michael Daras (Danvers, Mass.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week. The announcement came from the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Daras scored a game- and career-high seven goals in a season-closing win versus Albertus Magnus while scooping up a pair of ground balls and tallying two assists for a total of nine points. He converted 58.3 percent of total shots taken (75.0 percent on goal) into scores for the Pride. Daras finished the season as the Pride's third-leading goal scorer with 20 goals, while tied for fourth with 31 points.

Daras is the first member of the Pride to take GNAC Men's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week honors this season, and joins Player of the Week from March 5 Collin Spillane (Franklin, Mass.) as the only two Regis GNAC weekly award winners this season.
