PRIDE MEN PROJECTED FOR THIRD PLACE FINISH

NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – The Regis College men's lacrosse team has been selected to finish third in the upcoming New England Collegiate Conference season, according to the NECC coaches poll released this afternoon.

Regis earned one first place vote and 17 points in a poll conducted by the league's head coaches.

The Pride finished 2015 with an 8-6 mark and the Prides' first appearance in the NECC Tournament. Regis returns their top goal scorer and All-Conference attack Nicky Rodrigo (Miami, Fla.) who led the squad with 37 goals.

For the second straight season, Becker was selected to finish first according to the poll, snagging three of the possible five first place votes. Mitchell College was picked second with 18 points and one first place vote. Daniel Webster and Wheelock rounded out the poll with 12 and five points respectively. .

Regis men's lacrosse opens the 2016 campaign on Saturday when they host SUNY Polytechnic for a 11:00 a.m. matchup.
