MEN'S LACROSSE 2016 DATES REVEALED

WESTON, Mass. – First year Head Coach Randy Fraser is proud to announce the 2016 game schedule for the Regis College Men's Lacrosse team. This season's schedule will feature six home games and 11 non-conference opponents. The Pride are looking to build upon last season's 8-6 mark, the best season in program history and an appearance in the New England Collegiate Conference Semifinals.

Returning for the Pride are First Team All-NECC selections; senior attack Nicky Rodrigo (Miami, Fla.), junior defender Colby Connell (Warwick, R.I.) and senior midfielder Jack O'Brien (Milton, Mass.).

Regis opens up the season at home against SUNY Poly on Saturday, February 27th with game time slated for 11:00 a.m. This marks the only matchup in the month of February for the Crimson and Gold.

In March, the team travels away from campus for their first two contests of the new month. A week after their home opener, the Pride travel to Rivier University for a showdown with the Raiders on Saturday, March 5th with the time TBA. Regis continues their road swing when they head back north to the University of Saint Joseph's Maine for a 1:00 p.m. contest with the Monks on Saturday, March 12th.

Four days later, the squad returns back to Weston for a non-conference date with Emerson on Wednesday, March 16th at 5:00 p.m. After the brief home match, Regis heads back out on the road on Saturday, March 19th for an away contest with Husson.

The Pride wrap up the month March with two of their final three contests on the road. After their trek up to Maine, Regis hosts non-conference opponent Green Mountain on Wednesday, March 23rd at 5:00 p.m. Three days later, on Saturday, March 26th the team travels to the Coast Guard Academy for a 1:00 p.m. duel. The Crimson and Gold travel to Salem State University on Wednesday, March 30th with game time set for 7:00 p.m.

During the first week of April, Regis hosts non-conference foes Johnson & Wales (R.I.) on Saturday April 2nd at 4:00 p.m. Last season the Pride took a 9-8 overtime victory over the Wildcats with Nicky Rodrigo scoring the game-tying goal with five seconds left and the game-winner in overtime. A few days later on Wednesday, April 6th the Pride welcome Mass. Maritime to campus for a 5:00 p.m. contest.

Four of the remaining five contests on Regis' schedule are NECC games. The Pride return to the scene of their 2015 NECC Semifinals setback when they travel to Becker for their first conference game on Saturday, April 9th at 1:00 p.m. Regis returns to action a few days later for their last non-conference game of the 2016 slate at New England College on Wednesday, April 13th at 4:00 p.m.

Regis' wraps up their home slate with a Senior Day contest on Saturday, April 16th at 1:00 p.m. against conference foe Wheelock. During the final week of the regular season, the Crimson and Gold head away from campus for two NECC games at Daniel Webster on April 19th and at Mitchell on April 23rd.

The NECC Semifinals take place on Wednesday, April 27th and the NECC Championship game will be played three days later on Saturday, April 30th.
