WESTON, Mass. – Sophomore attack Nicky Rodrigo (Miami, Fla.) of the Regis College men's lacrosse team has been named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday. Rodrigo helped the Pride capture a pair of wins this past week.

Rodrigo notched 14 points over three games, which included 11 goals and three assists. He had three goals, one assist, and two groundballs in a 12-7 loss to Rivier on Monday evening. Rodrigo had back-to-back four goal, one assist performances in wins against Anna Maria and Thomas on Wednesday and Saturday, respectively. He also had two groundballs and three caused turnovers in the span of both games.

Through five games this season, Rodrigo ranks second in the conference for goals (12) and third for total points (15). He and the Pride (3-2) continue their five game home-stand with a 5 p.m. non-conference contest against Green Mountain on Tuesday.
