WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College men's lacrosse team is ranked first among all New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) teams in the 2013 Inside Lacrosse/Face-Off Yearbook preseason poll, as announced by the magazine.

Five NECC members will sponsor the sport - Becker College, Daniel Webster College, Mitchell College, Regis and Wheelock College - with competition beginning in the spring of 2013.

The magazine outlook reads as follows: "The newly-formed five-member league collects its schools from a few Northeastern conferences, forming a Commonwealth specific DIII group. The teams won't play a postseason tournament and maintain most of their former-league commitments. Regis goes from being in the bottom of the Pilgrim to the top of their new home, but this one is certainly up for grabs. With no sixth team and there no AQ, bragging rights will be decided by regular season play this season."
