FOUR NAMED TO PILGRIM LEAGUE ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Four players from the Regis College men's lacrosse team have been named to the 2013 Pilgrim Lacrosse League All-Academic Team, it was announced on Tuesday. The Pride's Brian Cidado (Easton, Mass.), Michael Emanuelson (Silver Lake, N.H.), Alex Graf (Newton, Mass.), and Andrew O'Reilly (Hollis, N.H.) were all named to the squad.

According to the league, "47 student-athletes achieved a grade point average of at least 3.25 and were deemed a significant contributor by their coach."

Cidado, a junior defender who started in 13 out of 14 games, scooped up ten groundballs and caused nine turnovers this year. Cidado will serve as a captain for the third consecutive season next year.

A freshman defenseman, Emanuelson had 17 groundballs and two caused turnovers in 12 games this season for the Pride.

Graf, a sophomore midfielder, scooped up two groundballs after playing in nine games for Regis.

O'Reilly scored three goals and had nine assists for 12 points on the year. The freshman attack also scooped up 54 groundballs and forced nine turnovers after starting in 12-of-15 contests for the Crimson & Gold.

Regis wrapped up its 2013 season at 4-11 overall and competed in the Pilgrim League for the second year. The Pride grabbed wins over Rivier, Dallas, Daniel Webster, and Johnson State and will look to continue their growing success next season.
