BASBAS SCORES FOUR IN PRIDE LOSS

Weston, Mass.—The Regis College men's lacrosse team was defeated by Anna Maria College Saturday (Apr. 16) by the score of 12-7. The Pride moves to 3-4 overall on the season.  The visiting Amcats move to 4-10 overall on the season and are 1-7 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference.

The Pride was led by freshman John Basbas (Framingham, Mass./Framingham) who tallied a team high of four goals on the game.  Matt Vogan (Belmont, Mass./Belmont) Billy Stewart (West Roxbury, Mass./Catholic Memorial) and Stephan Bottex (Norwood, Mass./Norwood) chipped in scoring one goal apiece for the Pride.

The Pride defense was led by Breandan Crane (Billerica, Mass./Arlington Catholic) and Tyler Beyor (Carthage, N.Y./Carthage) who spilt time in net. Crane played the first half tallying four saves on nine shots. Beyor Played the second half saving five out of the 12 shots faced.

The Amcats were led by Brad Peterson who tallied a team high of three goals on the game.  Grant Pilkington, Mike Saulnier , and Chris Summers  scored two goals apiece for the Amcats.

The Amcats was led by goal keeper Andrew Ellis, who tallied 14 saves on the day. Brad Peterson was the team leader in ground balls tallying 11 on the day.

The Pride's next matchup is Wednesday (Apr. 20) against Mitchell College.

The Amcats next matchup is Tuesday (Apr. 19) against the Curry College Colonials.
