PRIDE SET TO TAKE ON WILDCATS

Weston, Mass.—The Regis College men’s lacrosse team is set to take on Wheelock College Wednesday (Apr. 5). The Pride enters the contest with an overall record of 2-2 and is currently on a two game losing streak. The Wildcats enter the contest with an overall record of 0-5 and are on a five game losing streak.

The Pride will look to get its offense back on track against the Wildcats. In the past two contests the Pride’s offense has only been able to put up a combined three goals. Sophomore Bradford Hastings (Mansfield, Mass./Mansfield) will need to get back in his scoring groove for the Pride to be successful.  Hastings currently leads the team in overall points this season tallying 19.  Billy Stewart (West Roxbury, Mass./Catholic Memorial) will look to add to the Pride’s offensive production.

The Pride’s defense is led by Andrew Goldberg (Solebury, PA/New Hope) who currently has 16 groundballs on the season. Andrew Lamacchia (Lynn, Mass./St. Mary's) is currently the team leader in groundballs tallying 19 on the season.

Breandan Crane (Billerica, Mass./Arlington Catholic) and Tyler Beyor (Carthage, N.Y./Carthage) secure the pipes for the Pride.  Both keepers have shared time in each game for the Pride and will look to solidify the team’s defensive end.

The Wildcats are led by Kevin Kareckas who currently has five points on the season. Zach Bushway (Bethlehem, N.H./ Profile) is a secondary scorer tallying two goals and one assist on the season.

The Wildcats defense is led by Michael Manning ho has 82 saves on the season and has played 300 minutes this year.

The Game will be played in Chestnut Hill, Mass. at Pine Manor College and is set for a 3:30 p.m. start.
