MEN'S LACROSSE TO PURSUE VICTORY VERSUS UNE

Weston, Mass.—The Regis College Men’s Lacrosse team will host conference foe University of New England on Wednesday April 14, 2010 at 6:00pm.  The Pride will be facing a very talented UNE squad as they will be seeking to add a second conference win to their record.  Regis will be looking to add their first win on the season.

The Pride offense will be led by freshman attacker Bradford Hastings (Mansfield, Mass.) who is on top of the scoring leaders for Regis with 14 goals and three assists.  Right along with Hastings in the Pride attack is Sophomore Tim Wells (Weston, Mass.) who has recorded three goals on the season.  Sophomore midfielder Wade Thongsythavong (Salem, Mass.) would also be strong part in the Regis offensive game, as he has scored three goals on the season as well.

The Nor’easters are coming off of a home loss from Western New England, freshman attacker Tyler Thomas (Pleasantville, N.Y.) will lead the Nor’easters as he leads the team with 27 goals and 21 assists on 96 total shots on the season.  Along with sophomore attacker Dylan Thomas (Pleasantville, N.Y.) is right behind with 20 goals and 20 assists on 56 total shots on the season.  Junior captain midfielder Michael Woods (Kittery Point, Maine) has recorded 19 goals and 10 assists on 65 shots on the season. 

Sophomore goalkeeper Nate Porter (Cohasset, Mass.) has recorded 152 saves on the season.  As it will be a battle of which goalie shows up with the best performance as sophomore goalkeeper Andrew LaMacchia (Lynn, Mass.) has recorded 63 saves on the year, and will hope to add more to that list on Wednesday. 

The Pride will have to take advantage of any shot opportunities they have is they want to come out with a victory.
