POWERS RALLIES HAWKS PAST REGIS COLLEGE

Weston, Mass.—Roger Williams University (1-6, 1-3 TCCC) scored easily against Regis College (0-5, 0-4 TCCC), defeating the Pride 24-0 Saturday. The Hawks Ian Powers (Shrewsbury, Mass.), a freshman, scored five goals, and dished six assists in the game.

The Hawks had 12 different scorers in the game. Drew Beck (Cross River, N.Y.), Justin Leddy (Sea Girt, N.J.), and Rob Andreozzi (Bristol, R.I.) each tallied three goals apiece. Beck contributed three assists.

Andreozzi led Roger Williams with five groundballs, and was second in shots, slinging six shots in the direction of Regis keeper Andrew LaMacchia (Lynn, Mass.). LaMacchia had seven saves before entering the field as an attacker.

Hawks keeper’s Tyler Roebuck (Montgomery, N.Y.) and Tom Hardon (Devon, Pa.) each played 30-minutes. The pair combined to register four saves.

The Hawks had 26 shots against LaMacchia, and Regis’ second half keeper Tim Wells (Weston, Mass.) Roger Williams also took charge in face-offs, winning 20-of-27 (.741).

Regis collected 10 groundballs for the game, and won 5-of-22 (.227) face-offs. The Pride has steadily improved throughout the season. Versus Daniel Webster College, Regis tied the score at 8-8 in the second half, its best performance thus far in the season.

Regis College returns to the field April 7 when it travels to TCCC opponent Gordon College. Roger Williams will host conference opponent Salve Regina University April 7 at 4:00 p.m.
