WATERVILLE, Maine - Sophomore guard Jordan Seldon (Everett, Mass.) hit a game-winning three-pointer with just one second left on the clock on Saturday afternoon, lifting the Regis (Mass.) men's basketball team to a 76-75 win over Pine Manor College in the Colby College Tip-Off Tournament Consolation Game.

The win, the Pride's first of the season, improves the team's record to 1-2, while the Gators fall to 1-2.

The game was tight from start to finish, featuring eight ties and fifteen lead changes. The largest margin of the afternoon was a 10-point lead by the Pride just over five minutes into the second half, as Regis opened the half on a 12-4 run to stretch the lead to 54-44.

The Pride advantage was erased by the Gators thanks to a 12-0 run that took just 2:57 seconds, giving Pine Manor its first lead since the first half with a 65-62 edge with 6:57 to play.

The teams continued to go back and forth down to the wire. With the Pride up by three with under a minute to play, Pine Manor's Erick Rosario (Lynn, Mass.) and Ellis Reid (Hartford, Mass.) made back to back layups to give the Gators a one-point lead. Out of a Pride timeout, Seldon hit his game-winning three in the closing second.

The Gators had one final chance to steal the win after Seldon's three. Regis was whistled for a technical foul after the basket, and a made free throw from Taverick Roberson (Pittsfield, Mass.) cut the deficit to one, but Rosario missed a potential game-winning three and the Pride prevailed.

Regis a handful of solid performances at both ends of the floor, as Seldon (21 points, 12 rebounds) was one of three players on the Pride to finish with double-doubles. Fellow starters Jawaun Lewis (Jacksonville, Fla.; 12 points, 14 rebounds) and Ademola Afonja (Staten Island, N.Y.; 16 points, 13 rebounds) also accomplished the feat on the afternoon. Point guard Julio Galay also contributed 16 points in the Pride win.

Next up for Regis, the team will travel down the road to Framingham State to take on the Rams at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening. Pine Manor returns to action the same night, hosting Eastern Nazarene at 5:00 p.m.
