TAGGER JR. REPRESENTS REGIS ON ALL-NECC TEAM

WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College men's basketball team had one player named to the New England Collegiate Conference All-Conference Team on Monday morning. Senior guard Jeff Tagger Jr. (Brockton, Mass.) received an All-NECC Third Team selection while fellow co-captain Jordan Monts (Springfield, Mass.) was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.

Tagger Jr. started and played in all 16 conference games for the Crimson and Gold while leading the team in assists (3.9) and steals (1.5) per game ranking him seventh and eighth in the conference respectively. He averaged 10.7 points per game on 45.5% shooting including 41.3% from long range. The co-captain led the team in minutes played during NECC bouts with 29.5 minutes per duel and also snagged 4.6 rebounds.

Tagger Jr. finishes his Pride playing career ranking ninth in program history in scoring with 647 points, a 43.5 field goal percentage, 249 rebounds, 191 assists, good enough for second in program history and third in career steals (114). He also set the single game steals record as he came up with eight thefts during a 68-61 Senior Night victory over conference foe Wheelock.

Monts wraps up his playing career with ranking eighth in history with 677 points, seventh in rebounds (379) rebounds, eighth in assists (123) and recorded 68 steals.
