MEN’S HOOPS WELCOMES SPECIAL OLYMPICS TO CAMPUS

WESTON, Mass. – On Sunday, the Regis College men's basketball team welcomed the Special Olympics to Higgins Court for a basketball tournament.

The tourney ran from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and featured eight teams, the Brookline Cougars, EMARC Warriors, Brookline Leopards, B-R Trojans, Cushing Comets, LABB Legends, BR Grizzlies and Cushing Crusaders.

The men's squad set up two courts in the gymnasium, ran the clocks, kept score, officiated the contest and cheered on the athletes in a fun filled day for all who were involved.

The Pride men currently are 4-8 overall and are 1-2 in the New England Collegiate Conference this season. They return to the hardwood tomorrow evening as they welcome the Becker Hawks to Weston for a 6:00 p.m. tip-off.
