PRIDE SET TO CORRAL BISON

Weston, Mass.—The Regis College men’ basketball time is set to take on Nichols College Wednesday (Feb. 16) at 7:00 p.m.  The Pride enters the match with an overall record of 14-9 and is 7-4 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference. The visiting Bison enter the contest with an overall record of 5-17 and are 2-9 in TCCC play.

The Pride is led by senior Derrick Neal (Boston,Mass./Brighton) who currently leads the team in steals per game, and points and per game. The Pride will have a deep three-point threat from freshman Ryan Chambers (Abington, Mass./Abington) who currently leads the team in three pointers made and attempted.  LaQuinn Shuler  (White Plains, N.Y./Valhalla) and  Jonathan Josselin  (Medford, Mass./Matignon) will look to help the Pride’s offense with their strong off the bench play.

On defense, Robert Edwards (Idaho Falls, Idaho/Phillips Exeter Academy) has had an increased defensive presence for the Pride in the past few games.  Edwards continues to add to his block total this season. Senior Phil Alibrandi (York, Maine/York) will look to help the Pride off the boards.

The Bison are led by Ryan Sheehan (North Attleboro, Mass. /Bishop Feehan) who currently holds the second most points per game (19.9) in TCCC play. Justin Kuntz (Wallingford, Conn.Sheehan) is second on the team for points per game and a first in steals with 24.Kyle Mascilak (Sparta, N.J.Sparta) leads the bison defense with a team high of 14 blocks.

The contest will be played at Higgins Court and is set for a 7:30 p.m. start.
