Weston, Mass.—The Regis College Athletics Department announced Ryan Chambers as the Outstanding First-Year Student-Athlete during its annual athletic awards banquet.
WILLIMANTIC, Conn. -- Sophomore Chris Robitaille (Canton) sank two free throws with five minutes left to spark a game-ending 12-2 run that lifted the top-seeded Eastern Connecticut State University men’s basketball team to a 66-58 victory over No. 8 Regis College in the opening round of the 2011 ECAC New England Division III Tournament at Francis E. Geissler Gymnasium.
WESTON, Mass.—Regis College (15-11, 8-7 TCCC) will compete in its first Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Quarterfinal game Wednesday, March 2 versus Eastern Connecticut State University (19-9, 10-4 LEC) at 7:00 PM. The ECAC office made the announcement via email Monday.

The No. 4 Regis College men’s basketball team will host its first The Commonwealth Coast Conference game Tuesday (Feb. 22) when it faces No. 5 Salve Regina University at 7:00 p.m. Head coach Nate Hager directed his team to a 15-10 overall record, and 8-5 TCCC finish.

Weston, Mass.—Freshman Ryan Chambers is featured in an article published by the Abington Mariner, his hometown newspaper. Chambers has appeared in all 22 games for the men's basketball team this season. He has scored a career-high 18 points twice this season. Chambers also scored the game-winning basket against conference opponent the University of New England (Jan. 27).

Beverly, Mass. – The Regis College men’s basketball team opened up a double-digit lead late in the second half against Endicott and despite a late rally by the Gulls, the Pride was able to hold on for a 68-63 victory in TCCC action.

With a three pointer by Garrett Harden (Worcester, Mass.) in the closing 5:30 gave Gordon a 49-46 lead, and eventually the win.

The time of the women’s game will remain at 5:30 p.m., with the men scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off.
