Fall 2021 Senior Spotlight - Field Hockey

WESTON, Mass. - Before its 2021 regular season finale Wednesday, Oct. 27, the Regis College field hockey program recognized its three seniors.

One of this year's captains, Hope Celli (Pembroke, Mass.) appeared in 39 matches, including 19 starts, during her Regis career. In her first year, she finished with four goals and one assist, followed by three goals and one assist as a sophomore in 2019. This season, she started 12 matches. Hope has been a strong forward and midfielder as well as a true competitor. Her leadership and dedication both on and off the field did not go unnoticed. She is a two-time Academic All-GNAC honoree and a consistent presence on the Dean's List. A nursing major, Hope plans to go to graduate school to become a nurse practitioner in an ICU.

The other captain this season, Sarah Tetrault (North Easton, Mass.) was a key leader of the defensive line right from the start of her career, starting 36 of the 43 matches she played in. On Oct. 2, she scored the game-winning goal with 4:06 remaining in the second overtime period to give Regis a 2-1 victory over Anna Maria. She always brought her positive energy both on and off the field. Her passion for the sport and her team was noticeable on a daily basis. Sarah is also a two-time Academic All-GNAC honoree and a constant member of the Dean's List. Majoring in therapeutic recreation with a minor in exercise science, Sarah plans to go to graduate school and become an occupational therapist.

Kacey Thompson (Rutland, Vt.) appeared in seven matches during the 2019 season as the Pride advanced to the semifinals of the GNAC Tournament. This season, she made her first career start on Oct. 23 in the team's 9-2 victory over Albertus Magnus. She also started the Oct. 27 contest against Johnson & Wales. Kacey showed her versatility and dedication to her teammates during her time within the program. In return, her coaches and fellow players took note of her hard work. Like her fellow seniors, she has twice earned Academic All-GNAC recognition and continually made the Dean's List. Majoring in diagnostic medical sonography, she plans to work in a Boston hospital as an ultrasound technologist.
