WESTON, Mass. - The Regis (Mass.) women's field hockey team had its strongest offensive output of the season, beating Bay Path University by a score of 9-0 in non-conference action at Regis Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

With the win, the Pride moves to 2-2 on the season, while Bay Path continues to seek its first win at 0-5.

Sophomore Ashley Chipman (Stoughton, Mass.) opened the scoring 3:32 into the contest by redirecting a head-high Yvonne Abate (Easton, Mass.) shot past Bay Path goalkeeper Bethany Rogers (Plymouth, Mass.) for the game's first goal. Abate, Allison Petillo (Sayville, N.Y.), Aineen Callahan (Diamond Point, N.Y.) and Mary Costantino (Abington, Mass.) would also add first half goals for the Pride, who took a 5-0 lead into the break.

The Pride continued their offensive firepower in the second half, starting again with another goal from Chipman 1:08 into the period. Senior Julie Flateau (Waltham, Mass.), freshman Jamie Juskiewicz (Gorham, Maine), and Callahan also found the back of the net in the second half.

Goalkeeper Maresa Malcolm (Barrington, N.J.) was credited with the win for Regis, shutting out the Wildcats in 29 minutes between the pipes. Junior Erin Moore (Rosedale, Md.) and freshman Hope Winkin (Winslow, Maine) came on in relief to preserve the shutout. Rogers was credited with the loss, allowing two goals and making 12 saves in 20 minutes in net before exiting with an injury. Amy Langsam (Peabody, Mass.) made four saves in relief for the Wildcats.

Next up for the Pride, they return to Great Northeast Athletic Conference action, traveling to Saint Joseph's (Me.) at 4:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon. Bay Path will get nearly a week off before taking on Mount Ida next Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
